ChristianaCare's Cardiology Department is looking for a Casual Cardiac Sonographer I to join our team at Woodstown, NJ. The Cardiac Sonographer I will perform diagnostic echocardiograms in adherence to the American Society of Echo Cardiography and to assist physicians in the diagnosis of cardiac disease. This opportunity offers a 16-hour workweek, with just two days on-site work —perfect for professionals seeking meaningful work with room for life outside the office.

Requirements

• Associates Degree Preferred.
• Certification from ARDMS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, RDCS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist, RCVT), or a new graduate of an accredited ultrasound program who meets registry eligibility.
• CPR certification.
• IV experience with saline and contrast.
• Experience in stress echo, dobutamine stress echo and adult echo.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler echocardiograms.
• Performs stress echocardiograms.
• Performs EKGs and applies holter monitors when needed.
• Demonstrates skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality and quantitative echocardiograms for adult and geriatric populations.
• Accurately present completed echocardiograms to physicians.
• Demonstrate ability to recognize normal and abnormal echocardiograms.
• Demonstrates knowledge in operation of Cardiology information system reporting.
• Demonstrates patient care at a high standard.
• Enters accurate patient study information into the clinical care system.
• Maintains required credentials of CPR and mandatory inservice.
