Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join the Cardiovascular Diagnostic team at Bridgton Hospital! Requirements

• Completion of accredited Sonography/Ultrasound tech/Radiography educational program.
• ARDCS or CCI Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification preferred; required within one to two years of hire.
• Ultrasound experience in echocardiography - One to two years preferred.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required.

• Ability to communicate in English; both verbally and in writing.
• Additional languages preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and triage in a highly fluid dynamic operational environment.
• Ability to collaborate with all layers of the management/ administration team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician with complex ultrasound procedures to visualize internal cardiac structures.
• Obtain measurements of cardiac valves, ventricle and left atrium.
• Visualize blood flow.
