About The Position

The Clinic Echo Technologist performs routine and/or specialized cardiac ultrasound exams. The echocardiographer acquires and analyzes data using diagnostic medical ultrasound and related technologies, providing calculations and data for medical staff interpretations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of a two-year approved program or two-year program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP).
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
  • If not credentialed, must be able to attain credentials within 1 year of hire.
  • Must maintain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Certification or re-certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
  • Ability to lift to a maximum of 35lbs and perform push/pull tasks that require a maximum force of 35 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited CAAAHEP program.
  • One or more years of ultrasound experience.
