About The Position

Atrium Health Medical Center Plaza is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer to join our Cardiology/Pediatrics team. This full-time position offers a variety of shifts to accommodate our patients' needs. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will play a crucial role in performing echocardiograms and assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac conditions in both pediatric and adult patients. Your expertise will contribute to the high-quality care we provide at Atrium Health.

Requirements

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
• Experience in performing echocardiograms in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with pediatric echocardiography.
• BLS certification.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms on patients of all ages, including pediatric and adult populations.
• Assist physicians in the interpretation of echocardiographic studies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all procedures performed.
• Ensure the proper functioning of ultrasound equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Educate patients and their families about the echocardiogram process and what to expect.
