This role does include opportunities for career development/advancement for a Cardiac Sonographer I, II, III, IV. The position is part-time and involves performing diagnostic echocardiograms and stress echo procedures as ordered by physicians. The Cardiac Sonographer will record quality information while performing echocardiographic imaging and following procedural guidelines and protocols. They will explain procedures and possible side effects to the patient or family members, confirm all physician requests, and evaluate patients' clinical history for proper clinical indicators and possible contraindications for the requested procedure. Collaboration with physicians to ensure quality patient care is essential. The role also includes operating equipment used to perform echocardiograms, maintaining patient medical records, organizing the reporting process, and submitting final reports as requested. Additionally, the Cardiac Sonographer will perform portable diagnostic echocardiograms and may take call, work weekends, and rotate holidays as needed.
