Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- RNFA certification
- CNOR required
- Minimum 3 years CVOR / open-heart OR experience
- Strong cardiac case background: CABG valve thoracic aortic minimally invasive heart procedures
- EVH experience preferred
- BLS + ACLS
- Prior hospital-based Cardiac OR travel experience highly preferred
Responsibilities
- First assist in open-heart and cardiac surgery procedures
- Support CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR support, and aortic cases
- Perform chest exposure and closure
- Assist with sternotomy closure
- Endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) strongly preferred
- Provide scrub and perioperative support in the CVOR
- Collaborate with surgeons, perfusion, anesthesia, and CVOR teams
- Maintain strict AORN, CNOR, and hospital OR standards
- Support rapid turnovers in a busy cardiac surgery service line
