About The Position

Our Cardiac & Vascular Rehabilitation team is seeking a dedicated and skilled Exercise Physiologist to support patients through supervised therapeutic exercise, education, and long‑term lifestyle management. This role plays a vital part in patient recovery, safety, and motivation while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Requirements

  • One or more years' experience in clinical exercise physiology
  • Proficient in dysrhythmia recognition
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic health record
  • Ability to withstand crisis situations
  • Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal
  • Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members
  • Able To Withstand Crisis Situations
  • Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors
  • Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records
  • BLS – Basic Life Saving Certification
  • ACLS –Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • Bachelor’s degree in kinesiology, exercise physiology, adult fitness, or a related field grounded in scientific principles of fitness programming.

Responsibilities

  • Daily therapy session oversight: Initiates, supervises, monitors, evaluates, and documents cardiac and vascular rehab therapy sessions.
  • Departmental prioritization: Assesses and prioritizes clinical situations to support smooth departmental operations.
  • Technical issue resolution: Identifies artifacts or technical problems and resolves probable sources.
  • Abnormality recognition: Detects clinical abnormalities and reports findings to nursing staff and/or physicians per established guidelines.
  • Emergency response: Recognizes emergency situations and initiates ACLS/BLS procedures as needed.
  • Medical record analysis: Reviews patient histories to identify orthopedic, neurological, metabolic, or other conditions requiring tailored care planning.
  • Individualized care planning: Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized exercise and rehabilitation plans.
  • Fitness evaluations: Conducts initial assessments and creates safe, effective exercise prescriptions using FITT principles and AACVPR standards.
  • Progress monitoring: Tracks patient progress, adjusts exercise programs, and provides education, support, and motivation.
  • Post‑program planning: Assists in developing follow‑up strategies to promote long-term patient success.
  • Recordkeeping: Maintains accurate departmental logs, files, and documentation.
  • Confidentiality compliance: Protects patient, employee, and organizational information.
  • Policy adherence: Follows hospital and departmental policies, quality assurance standards, safety protocols, and infection control procedures.
  • Professional development: Attends meetings, participates in continuing education, and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Team collaboration: Supports a cooperative work environment and communicates patient care information effectively.
  • Equipment maintenance: Ensures equipment is clean, functional, and properly maintained; reports malfunctions promptly.
