About The Position

Join our compassionate and skilled team at Mercy Medical Center as a Cardiac Monitor Technician. In this vital role, you’ll support physicians and nurses by providing continuous cardiac monitoring and accurate rhythm interpretation for patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/BLS certification required (American Heart Association accepted; American Red Cross preferred).
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in cardiac monitoring or telemetry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced ECG monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Identify life-threatening arrhythmias and initiate emergency protocols.
• Record rhythms during code situations and provide accurate interval measurements.
• Troubleshoot monitoring equipment and resolve technical issues.
• Educate patients and families to ensure transparency and understanding of care.
• Support nursing staff and perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager.
