The Cardiac Monitor Tech performs cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation, and is responsible for effective and efficient communication with interdisciplinary staff.

Requirements

• able to collaborate with others in a team setting
• have excellent communication skills
• a positive attitude toward problem-solving
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous experience in healthcare field required
• Must demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in written format
• perform basic math calculations including use of decimals
• Must be able to interact with interdisciplinary staff
• Must have successfully completed the arrhythmias recognition course
• Ability to communicate with healthcare providers of varying ages
• Recognize effect of age on interpretation of EKG’s
