Submit your application for the opportunity below: Cardiac Monitor Technician with the Mission Health Cardiac Monitor Unit. Cardiac monitor technicians, or telemetry technicians, monitor multiple patients heart activity and interpret heart rhythms from a central monitoring center covering multiple acute care locations. They play a vital role in the lives of cardiac patients and are a critical member of the health care team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of dysrhythmia course (preferred).
  • Previous experience in health care environment such as CNA, EMT or other related areas (preferred).
  • Comparable experience and skills also considered.

Responsibilities

  • Observes telemetry monitors continuously.
  • Recognizes and documents rhythm tracings.
  • Continuously monitors Cerner Patient Observer (CPO).
  • Recognizes patient movement and proactively alerts nurses and other caregivers to prevent adverse events including patient falls, patient elopement, patient safety, and visitor monitoring.
