Cardiac Monitor Tech (Third Shift)
About The Position
Oneida Health Hospital is looking for a full-time Cardiac Monitor Technician to work nights in our ICU. This position is responsible for the observation of cardiac monitors and reports to the ICU Nursing Manager. Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
- Certifications: Ward Clerk or willingness to train (Required)
- Nursing Assistant or willingness to train (Required)
- Cardiac Monitoring or willingness to train (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Experience: Ward Clerk: 1 year (Preferred)
- Nursing Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
- Monitor Tech: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Being a careful observer and data gatherer, documenting information carefully and accurately.
- Performing basic patient care under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
- Having excellent communication skills and routing messages to the appropriate person.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients according to hospital standards of quality.
- Using a customer service attitude when assisting patients and families with needs.
- Performing ward clerk and clerical tasks as needed.
- Maintaining equipment and performing routine cleaning tasks.
- Assisting RN with patient educational needs.
