Requirements

• Proficiency in pediatric, adult, and congenital specialty procedures within their assigned lab.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities, procedures, and technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically, problem-solve, and make sound decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Assisting physician(s) with invasive cardiac laboratory procedures.
• Conducting various cardiac tests to monitor patients’ heart and blood vessel conditions using diverse cardiology equipment.
• Preparing procedure rooms and prepping patients for procedures.
• Obtaining and recording patient information.
• Assisting physicians in procedures by circulating and scrubbing.
• Proficiency in X-ray fluoroscopy.
• Acquiring, measuring, and calculating hemodynamic data.
• Performing blood work analysis.
• Operating intracardiac ultrasound.
• Cleaning procedure rooms and preparing instruments for resterilization.
• Directing and practicing safety guidelines for themselves, staff, and patients.
• Independently functioning during diagnostics and interventions with minimal supervision.
• Maintaining a high level of expertise in specialty procedures within their assigned lab.
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with the care team.
• Adhering to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, infection control practices, and patient confidentiality.
