Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology of at least 2 years duration. (Required).
• Radiology Technologist license in the State of Maryland. (Required)
• ARRT - certification or registration (Required)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or eligibility (Required)
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 days (Required)

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with complex cardiac and electrophysiology procedures, including angiographic, interventional, and ablation procedures, while ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging.
• Acts as a first assistant to physicians during catheterization procedures, administering contrast media and managing guide wires and catheters in accordance with clinical protocols.
• Monitors and records hemodynamic data, interprets ECG rhythms, and provides immediate patient care in response to arrhythmias or procedural complications.
• Manages inventory, orders supplies, maintains accurate records in hospital systems (RIS), and ensures infection control and proper equipment operation.
• Handles all phases of patient care-from pre-procedural education and lab work confirmation to post-procedural monitoring, discharge, and transport-while supporting departmental goals and emergency response duties.
