We are seeking a Cardiac Residency-Trained Pharmacist to join a dynamic team at a tertiary care center, to work side-by-side with a highly skilled group of Critical Care Cardiology providers. This multidisciplinary team includes physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs), and residents specializing in Cardiology, Critical Care Medicine, Heart Failure, and Interventional Cardiology.

  • Serve as the dedicated pharmacist for the ECMO unit, contributing to the care of patients with acute cardiogenic shock, advanced heart failure, and temporary MCS.
  • Oversee anticoagulation management for patients receiving mechanical circulatory support (MCS).
  • Manage complex drug-device interactions in ECMO patients, including sedation and antimicrobial therapy.
  • Assist in the selection and dosing of antiarrhythmic medications, particularly in complex clinical scenarios.
  • Provide support for emergency medication needs in the cardiac catheterization lab and hybrid operating rooms.
  • Current TN Pharmacist licensure or eligible for licensure.
  • One-year hospital experience or equivalent Hospital pharmacy residency preferred.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
  • Doctorate Degree, or Bachelors Degree.
  • Previous experience in CCU highly desired.
