Cardiac Hospitalist Washington, DC MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group MedStar Medical Group II, LLC d/b/a MedStar Medical Group has an opening for a Cardiac Hospitalist to join our team!

Requirements

• Position requires a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or foreign equivalent.
• Position requires completion of a three-year ACGME- and ABIM-recognized Internal Medicine residency program.
• Position requires a valid District of Columbia medical license and Board Certification in Internal Medicine, The American Board of Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the patient care activities of the service.
• Responsible for evaluation and management of patients admitted on MHVI Wards Service
• Management may take the form of: Admission, diagnostic and therapeutic evaluation and documentation.
• Responsible for full inpatient management of the patient.
• Provide advisory support to the nurse practitioner service.
• Manage urgent and emergent floor calls for any patient on the MHVI Wards Service
• Coordinate, develop research projects and obtain support to carry out any research developed or conducted.
• Participate in the preparation and publication of medical articles pertaining to the specialty.
• When needed and as circumstances require, serve as the medical director and discharge planning advisor on selected medical units.
