About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Holding area at UF Health is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to professional standards. The RN will perform all staff nurse activities and may function as a charge nurse when assigned, maintaining accountability for the care of assigned patients while delegating tasks appropriately to support staff. This position requires a commitment to teamwork and effective communication within the healthcare team, ensuring high-quality patient care across all age groups.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice nursing in the state of Florida or confirmation letter establishing eligibility.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required on the first day of employment.
• ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association required at hire or transfer for specific departments.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree; BSN preferred.
• Demonstrated teamwork and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Professional certification preferred.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities
