The organization is seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) — Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) — to join its growing healhcare team in Shelton, Connecticut. This full-time, permanent role focuses on supporting electrophysiology services, including the evaluation and management of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. The APP will work closely with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and a multidisciplinary cardiac care team to provide high-quality patient care across outpatient clinics and hospital settings. Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • Licensure: Active or eligible for Connecticut NP or PA licensure
  • Certification: National certification as NP or PA required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience: Prior cardiology or electrophysiology experience preferred; cardiology APP experience strongly desired

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage patients with cardiac rhythm disorders including atrial fibrillation, ventricular arrhythmias, and conduction abnormalities
  • Assist electrophysiologists in the care and management of patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care
  • Interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, Holter monitors, and event monitors
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated cardiac care
  • Provide patient education regarding cardiac conditions, medications, and lifestyle management
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Participate in team meetings, quality initiatives, and continuing education programs
