About The Position
Baptist Health is looking to add a Cardiac Echo Sonographer to our Diagnostic Cardiology Department at our Heart Center in Downtown Jacksonville. This is a Full-Time, day shift opportunity of 4 10-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm, with every 5th weekend off. We are seeking someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and a commitment to patient care and safety. This Sonographer will operate ultrasound equipment that provides moving 2-D or 3-D images of the heart and will also help physicians diagnose heart problems in patients. Requirements
- Adult Echo Credentials through either ARDMS or CCI within 18 months of hire Required
- 1-2 years Cardiac Echo Sonography Experience
Nice To Haves
- Adult Echocardiography (AE) (ARDMS-RDCS) Preferred
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) Preferred
Responsibilities
- Providing diagnostic examinations of the heart using Ultrasound techniques.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Reviewing and recording cases.
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images
- Providing as-needed backup to other non-invasive areas of the Cardiac Department.
- Assist the working physicians in diagnosing heart problems in patients.
