The Cardiac Diagnostic Technologist II is responsible for providing basic and advanced electrocardiographic services to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. This advanced level Cardiac Diagnostic position implements the standard EKG services of the Cardiac Diagnostic Technician position, as well as advanced procedures to include Stress Nuclear Medicine procedures and Stress/Echo testing. The position also requires extensive scanning, analysis and report generation for holter, event, and long term cardiac monitors received from within CarolinaEast Medical Center, the CarolinaEast Heart Centers and CIM physician offices. The individual is required to deliver services to patients in all areas of the hospital and those services are to be performed day/evening/nights and weekends as required to provide continuous, consistent diagnostic testing. On-Call responsibilities are an important part of job requirements. The Cardiac Diagnostic Technologist II must be capable of performing the duties and responsibilities outlined without direct supervision and must be capable of making many independent decisions. CCT credential and strong cardiac arrhythmia recognition and interpretation skills required. Charge responsibilities may also be required in the absence of the Supervisor.
