Job Role SummaryThe Cardiac Diagnostics Lab (CDL) Supervisor oversees and manages cardiac diagnostics staff, including clerical and clinical employees. This position also, in coordination with appropriate administrators, Manager, Director, and Nursing, makes decisions and is responsible for personnel issues (supervision, discipline, hiring, etc.), and patient concerns/questions regarding clinic and Eskenazi Health.Essential Functions and Responsibilities Performs duties of a working supervisor for an assigned area or shift, as well as carries out the responsibilities of a Technologist/Nurse In coordination with appropriate administrators, Manager, Director, and Nursing, makes decisions and is responsible for personnel issues (supervision, discipline, hiring, etc.), and patient concerns/questions regarding clinic and Eskenazi Health Responsible for oversite of daily operational issues, including clerical and clinical employees, while coordinating operational flow, policies and procedures Develops work schedules for specific shift and work areas; ensures optimal staff levels; demonstrates financial responsibility when scheduling Demonstrates a positive leadership role Provides adequate and timely communication with staff; instructs new employees in the operation, function, and importance of the Epic system; encourages involvement and participation by the staff in departmental operations Alters activities and behaviors to reflect and ensure adequate care appropriate to the age of patients served (i.e. adolescent, geriatric, pediatric, neonatal and adult) Meets monthly with staff and maintains documentation of all communications Participates in quality improvement and/or quality assurance for the department Coordinates training schedules, annual check offs, mock codes Functions as clinical resource and/or provider for cardiac stress testing, procedures and/or exams within the area of supervision Communicates critical results to ordering physicians
