About The Position

Assists physician and staff with the daily coordination of patient care to facilitate efficient patient flow and physician access. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and physicians. Serves as primary support for physicians in clinic. Performs Pacemaker and Device Interrogations and adjust device settings under direct supervision of cardiology in clinic. Responsible for Pacemaker/Device, Holter, Event Monitor, 12-lead ECG set-up, monitoring and reporting. Maintains precise templates and database of all information for monitors and devices. Additional duties include appointment scheduling, scheduling of diagnostic testing and medical record management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Previous experience with Implantable Cardiac Device, Ambulatory Monitoring, MCOT, Holter and event monitoring
  • 3 years of Cardiac Device Specialist experience
  • Cardiac Electrophysiology: Understanding of arrhythmias, pacing, and defibrillation therapies.
  • Device Technologies: Familiarity with various cardiac devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices.
  • Clinical Guidelines: Awareness of national and international guidelines for device implantation and management.
  • Patient Management: Knowledge of pre- and post-procedural care, including patient education and follow-up protocols
