About The Position

Work under minimal supervision to provide care to patients requiring a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac rhythm devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in health, science, nursing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2 years of experience with interrogation, troubleshooting, and reprogramming of implantable cardiac devices
  • BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - Accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Perform evaluation and reprogramming of implantable pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders.
  • Perform ambulatory monitoring and other related non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures.
  • Analyze results from device interrogations and report findings to clinic physicians and/or nursing personnel.
  • Perform device management and documentation using designated cardiology information systems.
  • Demonstrate exceptional clinical and problem solving skills. Utilize specialized knowledge of medical terminology and cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Perform or assist with other related cardiac procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
