Summary: The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist II performs computed tomography imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Technologist II must meet all basic criteria for CT Technologist I.

  • BLS American Heart E-Card (BLS AHA ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS American Heart RQI E-Card (BLS AHA-RQI ECARD) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Cert American Heart_non ecard (BLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • BLS Certification Grace (BLS GRACE) - Employee Grace Period for Essential Credential (GRACE)
  • BLS Cert Red Cross (BLS RC) - Red Cross (RED CROSS)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of CT Scan experience.
  • Registered as a Technologist (RT),(RTT) or (NMTCB) and registered in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE)

Responsibilities

  • Assists clinical educator with quality assurance programs and projects.
  • Provides peer feedback for performance evaluations.
  • Performs rectal contrast/virtual colonoscopy exams.
  • Performs quality assurance testing on imaging and related equipment.
  • Serves as a preceptor to new hires and/or students (2 students and/or new hires semi-annually).
  • Performs post-processing (3D and MIPS).
  • Maintains proficiency in basic and complex interventional procedures.
  • Serves as a resource for staff members.
