About The Position

Join an award-winning team at Mission Regional Medical Center, a 297-bed, non-profit hospital that provides inpatient and outpatient hospital services. The hospital is recognized for clinical excellence in various services, including maternity and orthopedic care. The Cardiac Catheterization Technologist will work under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), assisting with diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Key responsibilities include scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, ensuring the procedure room is adequately prepared, monitoring instrument and supply levels, participating in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities, and training new staff. The role also involves assisting in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

• ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab.
• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
• Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
• Monitor par level of all instruments and supplies.
• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
• Participate in the training of new staff.
• Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
