We would be happy to hear from you. The Cardiovascular Intervention Center is a core element of the Smidt Heart Institute, performing more than 8,000 procedures a year. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction. We are currently offering a $5,000.00 sign-on bonus to newly hired Techs!

Requirements

• Graduate of a Radiology Technology program in an AMA approved school required.
• Current ARRT and CRT certifications required.
• Fluoroscopy permit required.
• BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required (ACLS preferred).
• RT-CI specialty certification required or willing to obtain within one year from start date to maintain status as a Tech II.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience required performing a variety of Radiologic Interventional scans and/or procedures in a busy clinic environment.
• Excellent arrhythmia recognition and hemodynamic monitoring skills required.

Nice To Haves

• Applicants with less than 3 years of experience may be considered as Cardiovascular IR Tech I.
• Congenital Heart experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in all procedures performed in the Cardiovascular Intervention Center and is a member of the Cath Lab team.
• Performs the radiological procedures at a technical level.
• Responsible for positioning the patient and fluoroscopic equipment as needed to obtain optimum views of all relevant anatomy during procedures.
• Provides a safe patient care environment, maintains and operates the physiological monitoring/recording system for both interventional cardiac and complex electrophysiology studies.
• Responsible for monitoring radiation exposure levels during all exams and ensuring that technical factors appropriate for the given procedure are used.
