JOB OVERVIEW • Job Title: Cardiac Anesthesiology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Location: York, PA • Service Setting: Hospital • Coverage Type: Clinical Only • Coverage Period: May 10, 2026 – Ongoing • Clinical Shift Schedule: 4–5 shifts per week; 10-hour shifts (6:15 AM – 4:45 PM, 6:30 AM – 4:30 PM, or 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM) COVERAGE DATES • Ongoing coverage; full-time preferred, will consider 1 week per month PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: All ages • Patient Volume/Census: Varies by anesthetizing location • Case Mix: Cardiac anesthesia cases across a broad surgical and procedural spectrum FACILITY INFORMATION • No. of Beds in Department: 593 Hospital Beds • Trauma Level: Level I • EMR System: Epic • Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia and surgical equipment • Specialty Backup Available: Multidisciplinary surgical and specialty teams • Support Staff Available: Full perioperative support staff • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes (with clean file and leadership approval) • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 90 days COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Rate: TBD • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Not Specified REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Cardiac anesthesia cases • General anesthesia for surgical procedures • Perioperative patient management JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: PA license required or willingness to obtain • Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology • DEA: Not Required • Certifications: ACLS, PALS • Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred • Other Qualifications: Ability to manage complex cardiac cases in a high-acuity setting DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide cardiac anesthesia services across surgical and procedural areas • Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary teams • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care • Manage diverse and complex case mix in a Level I Trauma environment • Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EMR
Requirements
- PA license required or willingness to obtain
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- ACLS, PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years experience preferred
- Ability to manage complex cardiac cases in a high-acuity setting
