About The Position

Responsible for ensuring all debit cards are entered and maintained into the appropriate systems daily and available for On-Call rotation. This role involves timely and accurate processing of approved card requests, performing card maintenance, and researching requests from internal and external customers within approved SLA timeframes. It also includes daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of card accounts and card management systems, maintaining proper licensing, regulatory, and compliance requirements, and managing vendor relationships. The analyst will collaborate with diverse individuals and teams to solve problems, market new products, promote card usage, and implement various card-related projects, while continually examining, developing, and improving processes and products. Maintaining confidentiality, providing excellent customer service, participating in team efforts, and complying with all Bank policies, procedures, laws, and regulations are also key aspects of the position.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Ability to write simple & advanced correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Advanced personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

Nice To Haves

  • Two to four years payments or related technical field preferred and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures approved card requests are processed timely and accurately within Bank policies and guidelines.
  • Performs card maintenance and researches requests from internal and external customers within approved SLA timeframes.
  • Daily, monthly, quarterly reconciliations of card accounts and card management systems.
  • Maintains proper licensing, regulatory, and compliance requirements with appropriate parties including, but not limited to, the Card Associations.
  • Maintains vendor relationships.
  • Actively collaborates with diverse individuals and teams to solve problems, market new products, promote card usage, and implement various projects involving cards.
  • Continual examination, development, and improvement on processes and products related to cards.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all sensitive Bank information.
  • Maintains a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees consistent with Southside Bank’s mission, CORE Values, and Blue Book culture guide.
  • Provides enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to Southside Bank customers and employees.
  • Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

  • Responsible for complying with audit policies and procedures as they pertain to this position.
  • Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Bank’s Information Security Program.
  • Must comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Performs routine duties with minimal supervision.
  • Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned or directed.
