Card Data & Analytics Intern Job Overview: The Card Data & Analytics Intern will support the bank's electronic payments strategy by assisting with the review, analysis, and interpretation of Visa Online reporting. This role is ideal for a highly analytical individual who is eager to learn how card portfolio performance, interchange trends, and usage patterns influence overall profitability. The intern will work closely with management to identify key insights, emerging patterns, and opportunities to optimize cardholder engagement and increase interchange revenue.

Requirements

• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Accuracy and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Accessing, reviewing and interpreting Visa Online reporting and dashboards.
• Analyzing portfolio performance metrics, including transaction trends, usage patterns, interchange categories, and cardholder behavior.
• Identifying key drivers impacting interchange income and portfolio growth.
• Extracting and summarize critical insights, highlighting what is most important for decision-makers.
• Preparing visualizations, summaries, and recommendations that support strategic actions to increase card usage and revenue.
• Assisting in developing metrics, scorecards, and internal reporting tools to better track performance over time.
• Conducting ad-hoc analyses to support ongoing portfolio optimization initiatives.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders across operations, card services, and finance to validate data and understand business impacts.
