About The Position

Reeder Distributors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Carwash Service Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial car wash systems and equipment. This role is best suited for a hands-on technician with a strong mechanical and electrical background who can quickly diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure equipment operates reliably for our customers. The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and be comfortable working independently in the field. This position plays a critical role in minimizing equipment downtime, maintaining system performance, and delivering high-quality service to our customers. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, values safety, and has the technical expertise to solve problems efficiently while representing Reeder with professionalism and strong customer service.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in mechanical and electrical repair; car wash or similar equipment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 75 lbs. and working outdoors in various conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and reliability.

Nice To Haves

  • Control wiring experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, routine service, and preventative maintenance on car wash systems.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
  • Troubleshoot wash system problems quickly to reduce downtime.
  • Install, adjust, and calibrate new equipment and replacement parts.
  • Maintain accurate repair and service documentation.
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns and service calls as needed.
  • Monitor and repair chemical delivery systems, including pumps, hoses, and valves.
  • Follow all safety standards and company procedures.
  • Partner with management to schedule service and maintenance.
  • Provide basic equipment training and guidance to staff.
