About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Repair Technician to join our team. As a Car Wash Repair Technician at Town Pump, Inc., you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and servicing equipment at our new and existing car wash locations in Montana. This is a field service role, and you will be responsible for multiple sites, frequent overnight travel, with the opportunity to advance to lead technician status and beyond. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain car wash equipment and facilities according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes. Their goal is to ensure the Town Pump Express Car Wash facilities and Wash equipment are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations and standards.

Requirements

  • Experience in planning maintenance processes.
  • Understanding of technical aspects of plumbing., working knowledge and understanding of low voltage electrical systems, troubleshooting, high & low voltage maintenance repairs, welding, hydraulics, 3-phase wiring, etc.
  • Working knowledge of use with various power tools.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects while working both individually and as a member of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 2 year (Required)
  • Driver's License and a clean driving record (Required)
  • Basic Knowledge of Computer Systems (Email, Scanning, WIFI)
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs (Excel, Word)
  • Ability to use software program to track and update work orders.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repair & maintenance on a variety of equipment, and machinery
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement solutions
  • Maintain repair records and documentation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs
  • Apply knowledge of hydraulics, welding, plumbing, electrical, and other industrial fields to install and maintain car wash equipment.
  • Perform equipment diagnosis for both electrical & mechanical issues.
  • Build trusting relationships with the maintenance and operations team through our culture of accountability.
  • Demonstrate pride in your work and a commitment to safety.
  • Requires 75% of travel time to Express Wash locations for Preventative Maintenance and emergency maintenance and 25% of time within office setting.

  • Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairs and work on your feet for long periods of time
  • Perform all work safely according to company requirements

  • Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Use and completes daily checklist. Keeps maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of carwash equipment during open hours and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of car wash equipment during service.
  • Check electrical and plumbing systems of buildings to ensure functionality
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and building facilities.
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, welder, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas and service trucks.
  • Ensure machinery/mechanical equipment are functioning at optimal levels by planning and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Work independently, demonstrating a high sense of urgency and safety.
  • Manage life cycle of components & equipment and replace as needed.
  • Ensure health and safety policies are complied with.
  • Keep an inventory of tools, parts and inventory for all locations.
  • Complete other tasks assigned by supervisor
