About The Position

The Car Wash Manager-in-Training (MIT) serves as added leadership support to the Car Wash management team by serving as an interim manager as-needed due to scheduled vacations, unplanned absences or times when additional support is required. The MIT does not have a set schedule but instead, reports to the Car Wash District Manager(s) daily for work assignments.

Requirements

Good written and verbal communication skills
General knowledge of basic computer operations & software.

Act with integrity and professionalism.
Have a valid driver’s license to drive vehicles on company property
Possess rapid and thorough decision making and creative problem-solving skills
Irregular hours and weekends will be required according to the needs of the business.
Proven ability to manage budgets, financial reports, and expenses.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of car wash equipment and the ability to oversee maintenance.
May require working on weekends or holidays, depending on the business hours.
Must have a valid driver's license, clean motor vehicle record, and personal auto insurance.
High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience in Guest Service and Leadership is preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as Interim Car Wash Manager at assigned car wash location.
Recruit, interview, train & supervise a team of Car Wash team members.
Train team members on proper procedures for vehicle preparation, drying & detailing.
Create weekly schedules and ensure staffing levels are appropriate for peak and off-peak hours.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities.
Provide disciplinary plans to team members when necessary.
Provide the Car Wash District Manager with input & support when handling discipline and coaching team members in accordance with Company policy.
Train team members in safety protocols and environmental best practices to minimize waste and ensure sustainability.
Provides continuous leadership and coaching to all team members, routinely shaping positive & constructive feedback to help support the team’s success.
Manage day-to-day car wash operations including staffing, performance issues, providing Guest relations, ordering supplies & maintaining equipment.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the car wash, ensuring that all services are provided efficiently and to a high standard.
Maintain service quality by ensuring service times are at expected levels and established operational procedures are enforced.
Demonstrate a full working knowledge of all equipment and services.
Ensure excellent Guest service by addressing complaints and resolving issues effectively and professionally, seeking guidance from District Manager as appropriate.
Monitor the quality of services provided, ensuring that Guests receive the best experience worth repeating.
Manage the site’s budget and financial performance, including monitoring expenses, managing costs, and improving revenue.
Accurately and timely complete daily paperwork and bank deposits.
Monitor & record inventory levels of cleaning products, supplies, and equipment; place orders for necessary items in a timely manner to avoid shortages.
Order supplies from Toot ‘n Totum warehouse and keep appropriate order records.
Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment and facilities, performing regular checks and addressing any malfunctions or issues promptly.
Promote special offers, packages, or programs to drive sales.
Oversee cleanliness, safety & security of car wash site.
Oversee the daily workflow & operations of the department, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
Support preventative maintenance on car wash equipment.
Maintain proper documentation, reporting property damage, Guest & team member incidents or injuries.
Support and facilitate organizational changes, continuous improvement and communication.
Operate washer & dryer units to clean towels, fold and place in proper storage place.
Maintain a clean appearance of the car wash site by emptying trash bins throughout the property; picking up debris found on the property including on the grass, cemented areas, vacuum area and inside the tunnel.
Attend and conduct mandatory car wash pit cleaning and other scheduled meetings.
Clean and maintain vacuum cleaner canisters and hoses to ensure they are free from debris and are in good working order.
