About The Position

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: North Shore Preserve, set on Kauai, Hawaii. North Shore Preserve is seeking a Car Wash Attendant to join the Golf/Valet Department. The car wash attendant is responsible for cleaning the exterior and interior of customers' vehicles in our car wash facility, including pre-washing, applying soap, rinsing, drying, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces; they may also monitor the functionality of car wash equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

Valid U.S. Driver’s license or International Equivalent.
High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
At least six (6) months of guest-service experience in a high-volume environment at a restaurant, resort, or private club.
Proficient in proper and safe driving of vehicles.
Driving record that meets the Club’s insurance requirements.
Able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and use vision, hearing, and hands/arms to drive multi-passenger vehicles.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and a shift greater than eight (8) hours in length due to business demands.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and desire to work in fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Prior valet attendant in luxury club or private resort setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

Provide exceptional service and communication at all times with members, guests, and team members.
Meet and greet all arriving/departing members and guests in a timely manner
Keep parking areas clean and orderly.
Maintain clean transportation shuttles and company vehicles (basic cleaning services including car wash, wiping interiors, and brief vacuuming to remove sand and dirt, but not full detailing services).
Check condition of transport vehicle’s tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water, and safety equipment to ensure everything is in working order.
Provide deliveries/pickups as needed, and run other errands as needed.
Comply with local and public traffic laws, and highway safety rules and regulations in operating vehicles .
Follow written and verbal geographical directions.
Any addition duties as assigned.
