About The Position
Diplomat Motors is a fast-growing independent dealership in the Portland Metro area, and we’re looking for a driven Sales Representative to join our team. This role is for someone who enjoys working with people, follows a process, and wants to build a real career in automotive sales — not just “wing it.” We provide strong lead volume, a supportive management team, and a culture focused on doing business the right way. If you’re motivated, coachable, and take pride in delivering a great customer experience, we want to meet you. Average monthly pay for our team is $8,000 - $14,000
Requirements
- Automotive sales experience is preferred, but strong retail or customer-facing sales experience will be considered
Nice To Haves
- Prior success in commission-based roles is a plus
Responsibilities
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and guide them through the vehicle-buying process
- Handle inbound leads, appointments, and showroom traffic provided by the dealership
- Present vehicles confidently, conduct test drives, and explain features and options clearly
- Build trust with customers through professionalism, transparency, and follow-through
- Negotiate and close deals while coordinating closely with Sales Managers and Finance
- Maintain accurate notes and follow-up in the CRM
- Represent Diplomat Motors with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional appearance
