As an Assistant Manager, we can offer you: The starting base compensation for this position is $56,422 to $71,993 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. No nights

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or ASE Certification a plus!)
  • 5 years’ experience in the automotive repair industry.
  • Mechanical/Technician background
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • The ability to complete a satisfactory Pre-Employment Screening if offered the position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor Repair Technicians.
  • Consult with Service Advisors, as needed, to ensure appropriate work is assigned according to Repair Technician’s’ skill level.
  • Verify that all repairs and maintenance on all vehicles is completed accurately and in a professional manner, and as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures or accepted industry practices.
  • Supervise and ensure communication between Car Care Center and customer.
  • Ensure that customer is kept up to date and ensures accuracy of repair permissions, agreements and expectations and that promised estimates and completion times are met.
  • Supervise and ensure continuous implementation and adherence to all AAA Car Care policies and procedures.
  • Verify that all repairs are properly completed by re-testing repaired system to ensure proper function; road test vehicles, as necessary, to identify concerns or validate repair.
  • Accurately complete paperwork, including, repair information on work orders, and information for state and emission inspections, including waivers and exemptions, etc.
  • Assist in the hiring and evaluation of Repair Technicians and training and development of Repair Technicians and Service Advisors.
  • Open and close Car Care store and ensure adequate scheduling of same.
  • Other duties as assigned.
