About The Position

NEXDINE Hospitality is seeking a Full-time Café Train Attendant to join our team in Brunswick, Maine. The Café Train Attendant will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for operations including serving and assisting customers during their train trip from Brunswick, Maine to Boston and back. This role involves managing cash and/or credit transactions, light food preparation including grab and go items, and stocking coolers while maintaining clean and orderly servery/dining areas. The ideal candidate will have an excellent personality and be comfortable interacting with the public, as well as possess exceptional customer service skills with a can-do attitude. This is a front of the house position that requires the ability to work independently with a focus on excellent customer service and problem-solving.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous food/customer service experience preferably within a corporate dining setting
• Dependable with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to pull and lift up to 40 pounds plus additional physical requirements
• Ability to work independently as well as a team player
• Must be 21 years of age to sell alcohol as this is an unsupervised position
• Reliable transportation
• Schedule flexibility
• Excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

• Run the point of sale system and assist customers as needed
• Set up and restock product, displays, coolers, and workstations as needed
• Perform light food prep and prepare grab and go items
• Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages including alcohol
• Transfer supplies or equipment between storage and work areas, by hand or using hand trucks or carts
• Ensure customers are being taken care of and the Café looks clean and presentable at all times
• Provide excellent customer service by being attentive, approachable, and greeting and thanking customers
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving their concerns
• Work with and take direction from the General Manager
