About The Position

BASIC PURPOSE : To ensure scheduled passengers arrive at their destinations promptly, safely, and efficiently. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company corporate aircraft to support corporate and personal travel needs of approved individuals. Handle and be discrete with personal and confidential information which would have immediate impact on flight passengers and/or the company if shared beyond its intended audience and relevant company management. Performs pilot planning duties to include: filing flight plans; obtaining flight, weather and airport operations information; scheduling ground transportation needs; coordinating with flight dispatch and Aviation Manager - Chief Pilot Monitors line services, including aircraft fueling, cleaning, and preparations Ensures aircraft is stocked with necessary provisions and complies with security protocols while on business trips Performs pre- and post-flight inspections on aircraft Maintains flight records, aircraft maintenance logs, and trend monitoring data (or other records as required by company policy and/or federal authority) Performs aircraft database and navigation chart updates as necessary and accomplishes logging of pilot duty Reports all aircraft maintenance issues and communicates aircraft maintenance needs with company mechanic and/or Manager of Aviation - Assistant Chief Pilot Accomplishes maintenance test flights as needed Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned and as needed, to ensure the safety and efficiency of the aviation department

Requirements

  • FAA Airline Transport Pilot or Commercial Pilot certificate with Instrument Rating
  • FAA Second Class medical certificate (Ability to obtain First Class if necessary, for travel)
  • 2000 total flying hours with a minimum 1000 hours as PIC
  • 1000 hours in multi-engine aircraft with a minimum 500 hours as PIC
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems and emergency procedures
  • Possess and maintain current US Passport
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Office, iPad and laptop operations)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Operates with honesty and integrity
  • Pass a drug/alcohol screening and FAA background check.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment
  • Frequent travel is required
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to speak and listen clearly
  • Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping
  • Able to view aircraft display screens for extended periods
  • Fine visual acuity and the ability to read and write with accuracy
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
  • Will be exposed to loud noises, wet and humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, extreme hot and cold depending on weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years Corporate flight experience (Preferred)
  • 500 hours turbine (Preferred)
  • CE-560XL and/or CE-680 Type Rating (Preferred, but not required)
  • College Degree (Preferred)
