About The Position

The Capital Strategy & Financial Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, capital budgeting, and strategic analysis to support the organization’s operational and long-term growth objectives. This role will partner with executive leadership and operational teams to develop financial forecasts and monitors financial performance. The manager provides data-driven insights to guide decision-making, ensure effective allocation of capital resources, and support infrastructure and expansion initiatives. This position also ensures financial reporting accuracy, supports budgeting processes, and helps align financial strategy with the company’s overall business goals.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in capital finance or FP&A within the telecommunications industry (required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale capital projects—network, infrastructure, fiber, wireless, or similar
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Expertise with capital accounting and project financial controls
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus
  • Experience supporting long-range financial planning and strategic initiatives
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and partner cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of the annual and long-range capital investment plans, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy
  • Partner with Operations teams to evaluate capital requirements, ROI analyses, and project prioritization
  • Build financial models to assess investment scenarios
  • Own quarterly and annual capital forecasts and variance analyses
  • Monitor capital spend performance across projects, identifying risks, opportunities, and required adjustments.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting packages with clear insights and recommendations
  • Assist in the design, development, and enhancement of Capital Dashboards to improve visibility into key operational and financial metrics
  • Identify the performance indicators that matter most for capital project management
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence and PMO teams to ensure dashboards are accurate, automated, and aligned with business needs
  • Translate complex data into intuitive visualizations that support faster and more informed decision-making
  • Ensure compliance with capital policies, accounting methodologies, and financial controls
  • Oversee project approval processes, capital tracking accuracy, and audit readiness
  • Manage the lifecycle of capital projects, from initiation through closeout
  • Serve as a strategic partner to operational leaders, offering financial guidance on investment decisions
