Reporting to the Supervisory Project Manager (SPM), the Project Manager (PM) will lead execution of multiple assigned capital outlay projects from conception through completion using a variety of contracting methods. Projects range from moderate to advanced difficulty and complexity. The PM will also represent Virginia Tech (VT) during the design/construction process, serving as the owner's primary contact and maintaining the following primary responsibilities: manage and coordinate the project team (Architect/Engineering (A/E) teams, consultants, contractors, stakeholders, etc.) provide support to VT leadership to achieve successful project outcomes ensure design and construction maximizes program goals, while conforming to the project's established criteria for scope, cost, schedule and quality coordinate the involvement of all participants in the design, value management, document review, construction, occupancy, close out, warranty, and financial management processes.
