We seek a highly experienced Capital Project Engineer to lead and manage large-scale capital expenditure (CapEx) projects within our aluminum extrusion operations. The ideal candidate will bring advanced engineering expertise, strategic project management skills, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 7+ years of engineering experience with a focus on capital projects and project management.
Proven track record of managing large-scale CapEx projects in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Deep understanding of engineering principles, equipment installation, and process optimization.
Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

Capital Project Planning: Develop and execute detailed plans for major capital projects, including scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables aligned with organizational objectives.
Budget and Cost Control: Prepare and manage multi-million-dollar CapEx budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
Engineering Oversight: Provide technical leadership and ensure engineering standards are met throughout project design, procurement, and implementation phases.
Vendor and Contractor Management: Oversee selection, negotiation, and performance of external vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications and timelines.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in capital projects and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project success.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, finance, and leadership teams to ensure seamless integration of new assets and technologies.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices.
Performance Reporting: Deliver regular updates on project progress, budget status, and key performance indicators to senior management.
