The Capital Markets Associate will be responsible for contributing to a broad range of strategic, capital markets, and corporate finance matters, including secured and unsecured credit facilities, loan or securities purchase agreements, asset-based financing (ABS), M&A, other leveraged financing and new product and market innovation. This candidate will prepare and manage internal and external materials and analyses (such as lender presentations, confidential information memorandum, rating agency presentations, and models) to support capital partners and transactions as well as other internal finance and growth initiatives. You will be performing financial and other analysis and due diligence (virtual data rooms etc.) to support capital markets transactions, including creating and managing deal-specific transaction models and presentations You have strong attention to detail, a desire to learn and grow your career, and take pride in your work You will serve as a liaison with clients, lenders, law firms, rating agencies and other external constituencies in support of deal execution. You are able to participate in a professional manner in external/client meetings, both virtually and in-person. You will coordinate and help manage various internal and external workstreams, in support of new deal closing and post-deal management, including reporting, monitoring and amending prior deals You will develop strong internal relationships across the organization, collaborating with colleagues on strategic initiatives as needed You are comfortable in a hybrid workplace You are a self-starter who can get up to speed quickly and can effectively operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with moderate supervision and day-to-day management You have strong oral and written communication skills and are able to occasionally travel for work (e.g. to a conference or investor meeting)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of transactional work, ideally with a bank, sell-side or buy-side (investment management) firm
  • Knowledge of debt capital markets, including loans and ABS/Securitization
  • Advanced technical financial analysis and computer skills, including high proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and virtual data room software; knowledge of Google work suite is also a plus but not a strict requirement
  • Ability to meet crisp deadlines without compromising accuracy, work product quality and top notch attention to detail
  • Generate updated financial models / analyses and presentations, as required by business needs and deal requirements
  • Strong deal/project management and tracking skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with SEC, equity research, and rating agency reports
  • Must be located in MA, CT, RI, NY, TX
  • You are comfortable in a hybrid workplace
  • You are a self-starter who can get up to speed quickly and can effectively operate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with moderate supervision and day-to-day management
  • You are able to occasionally travel for work (e.g. to a conference or investor meeting)

Nice To Haves

  • Tableau, Jira/Atlassian/Confluence, Salesforce or other CRM experience are a plus, but not a strict requirement
  • knowledge of Google work suite is also a plus but not a strict requirement
