About The Position

As a Capital Markets Analyst, you'll be responsible for developing and producing both scheduled and ad hoc data extracts and reports, providing key insights to drive smart, data-driven decisions. You’ll be the go-to expert for spotting errors in our portfolio, understanding what’s behind them, and figuring out how delinquencies impact our servicing business. You’ll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design reports, develop insights, and coordinate production schedules to ensure everything runs seamlessly. Depending on your focus, you’ll specialize in one of these key areas: Trading/Hedging Pricing Analyst Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing: Trading/Hedging Build and maintain strong relationships with broker-dealers, correspondents, and vendors. Model different loan scenarios, make key business assumptions, and help guide smart decision-making. Maximize company profits by strategically trading and hedging loans. Develop and refine our retain/release methodology to optimize outcomes. Use historical data to create theoretical hedging and trading scenarios, predicting future trends. Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture. Pricing Keep us competitive by crafting daily rate sheets that balance great pricing with minimal risk. Perform mortgage servicing rights (MSR) modeling and valuation to manage servicing portfolios and assess asset values. Be the go-to person for all things related to locking—answering questions and delivering top-notch customer service. Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture. Analyst Prepare and share reports with cross-functional teams to keep everyone in the loop. Continuously improve reporting efficiency, ensuring data integrity and presentation quality while staying sharp with reporting tools. Gather, process, and analyze historical data from various sources to uncover trends and insights. Act as the bridge between Capital Markets and other teams across the company. Spot errors in the data, dig into the root cause, and help drive improvements. Pitching in wherever needed (excluding licensed tasks) to help foster a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with Excel and SQL
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and Word
  • Expert in relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Python), data modeling, and utilization of AI tools
  • 1+ year in data warehouse engineering, leveraging business intelligence tools to drive insights
  • Skilled in SQL for data analysis and integrating enterprise software to optimize workflows
  • Experience with reporting, business intelligence tools, or database applications to turn data into actionable insights
  • Highly organized
  • Know how to juggle multiple tasks without missing a beat
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and get things done
