About The Position

The Capital Markets Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the syndication/participation and customer derivatives functions within the Capital Markets Group. This position involves assisting with the marketing and management of various credit transactions, including commercial, real estate, and specialty finance. The analyst will also manage lead bank activities, deal site management, and maintain a lender database, while contributing to the growth of derivative products for customers.

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum two years of experience working in a bank lending environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong skills in creating spreadsheets, data analysis, and detailed presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply judgment, take initiative, handle multiple priorities, and work under general supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of internal management and external parties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the launch and management of the loan syndication or participation process, including writing Confidential Information Memoranda (CIMs) and teasers.
  • Screen and approve incoming participation transactions from third-party institutions.
  • Interface with internal lending team members to ensure expedient processing of opportunities through the Bank's approval and closing process.
  • Coordinate and execute transactions with the internal transaction team to meet deal timelines.
  • Track and coordinate answers to transaction questions from third-party lenders in consultation with the transaction team.
  • Develop business and credit judgment and provide balanced assessments in collaboration with internal team members and partners.
  • Maintain and update the Group's pipeline.
  • Obtain investor commitments and assist in negotiating and finalizing transaction-related legal documentation.
  • Manage and launch data room sites for active transactions for syndicated and participated loans.
  • Learn and creatively utilize web-based syndication platform capabilities for efficient transaction marketing and tracking.
  • Maintain a lender database with current lender hold limits and credit appetites.
  • Assist in providing customer derivative quotes to relationship managers.
  • Qualify customer derivative counterparties and coordinate ISDA document execution.
  • Prepare and submit cases in Salesforce for the setup of executed derivatives and processing of funds.
