Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Forecast and Analysis Senior to join our Capital Planning and Analytics team. This critical senior-level role will drive strategic capital initiatives through advanced financial analysis, robust project management, and clear, impactful communication. Reporting to the Capital Planning and Analytics Senior Manager, you will engage with cross-functional teams—including Finance, Risk, Regulatory Affairs, and Business Units—to deliver actionable insights and optimize capital resources for Freddie Mac’s continued success. Our Impact: Our Capital Planning and Management Reporting Team is a trusted advisor to senior leadership, responsible for consolidated capital forecasting, scenario design, stress testing, risk appetite setting, and industry benchmarking. We deliver critical analytics and strategic updates for Board, regulator (FHFA), and investor presentations, shaping Freddie Mac’s capital strategy and readiness capabilities. Your Impact: As a Capital Forecast and Analysis Senior, you will: Lead evaluation of capital requirements for new products, business initiatives, and strategic projects, collaborating across business units to ensure accurate and timely capital assessments. Analyze and communicate the impact of model and methodology changes on capital requirements, partnering with model development and validation teams, and preparing executive-level presentations and documentation. Champion continuous improvement in capital planning and reporting policies, aligning with regulatory guidance and industry best practices, and maintaining robust governance frameworks. Drive the preparation and analysis of capital forecasts across monthly, quarterly, annual, and multi-year planning cycles, including regulatory stress testing (DFAST), Capital Planning, and Risk Appetite setting. Conduct capital benchmarking against industry peers and banks, leveraging regulatory/Basel frameworks to identify and advise on capital optimization opportunities. Deliver insightful capital analytics and updates for key stakeholder sessions, including Capital Committee, Management Council, Board, FHFA, and Risk Committee meetings. Support management in strategic projects and deliver a wide range of advanced analytical work to advance Freddie Mac’s capital strategies, including capital accretion, capital stack optimization, and capital distribution planning. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field required; advanced degree or relevant certification (CFA, FRM) strongly preferred. Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in capital planning, financial analysis, or risk management within banking or financial services, with direct financial servicing experience highly desirable. Deep knowledge of Basel capital framework, secondary mortgage market, financial statements, Dodd-Frank Stress Testing (DFAST), and industry best practices. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts to senior leadership and develop clear, impactful presentations and dashboards. Proven ability to influence, build relationships, and collaborate across diverse teams and stakeholders in complex organizations. Strong business acumen and advanced analytical skills, with a track record of critical thinking, problem-solving, and delivering creative, practical solutions. This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $112,000 - $168,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
