The Capital Access Program Manager at the Urban League of Greater Atlanta is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the MBDA Program. This role focuses on providing technical assistance to small and minority business owners, aiming to enhance their access to capital and resources necessary for economic growth and development.

  • Develop and execute an overall strategic implementation and operational plan in coordination with senior management, including timeline management.
  • Demonstrate how performance milestones will be achieved in a timely manner.
  • Develop a targeted outreach/recruitment process to attract and recruit small and minority businesses to participate in the program.
  • Develop a technical assistance process to achieve goals and objectives of the MBDA.
  • Develop program workshop and training calendar in coordination with TEC team.
  • Promote, identify and prepare applicants for capital funding.
  • Manage program team to ensure established outcomes are met.
  • Develop, coordinate and participate in innovative programs and special events within the business community.
  • Collaborate with team to develop and deliver strategies and programs to attract community partners, prime contractors, business associations, Chambers of Commerce, lenders, corporations with supplier diversity programs as well as small and minority business exchange partners.
  • Represent the organization at community and business meetings and events in a professional manner.
  • Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business management or related experience.
  • 5-plus years of experience in Project/Program Management is required.
  • Experience in small business lending finance/accounting (CPA or banking loan officer preferred).
  • 5-plus years of hands-on multi-faceted business management experience is required, preferably with experience in coaching, training, and developing small and minority owned businesses.
