Under general supervision is responsible for spooling and banding capillary tubing utilized on artificial lift systems in a coordinated effort and procedure with customer representatives on installs or pulls on oil and gas job sites.
Ability to be on call 24/7
Ability to travel to the field location daily in company work truck
Spools cable onto capillary spool as the tubing is being pulled out of the well
Bands capillary tubing onto tubing as the downhole equipment and tubing are being run into the well
Maintains capillary service truck and trailer, performs daily inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations
Proper completion of DOT logbooks, DOT inspection forms, and turn in for office records
Completes daily timesheet
Conducts field analysis and tests capillary strings after they have come out of the well
Collects information during testing and inspection to provide customers with recommendations on capillary tubing status
Quickly adjusts to changing job assignments/requirements and the flexibility to work overtime with little or no advance notice
Assists with workover rig operations on location as required
Requires a High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
1 year workover or capillary experience is preferred
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence as required
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Basic hand tool proficiency
Basic computer skills required to operate computerized test equipment
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
