About The Position

Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Texas, Inc. is offering exciting summer internships for college students who have completed at least their sophomore year. We provide a supportive and collaborative teaching environment to help interns develop their skills and pinpoint their career goals. This opportunity offers invaluable experience with an industry-leading biopharmaceutical contract development manufacturing organization. Interns will work under the guidance of a department manager on a project focused on enhancing current processes and improving efficiency. Internships typically run from mid-May to August, with specific dates determined collaboratively between the intern, their supervisor, and Human Resources. The objective of this role is to support the CAPEX department in the development and transfer of Business Continuity Plans by collaborating with departments to analyze risk, response, and recovery data. Start Date: This internship is set to begin on May 19th, 2025 for an 11-week duration ending on August 8th 2025. Relocation: Please note this Internship Opportunity is designed to be 100% Onsite, 40 hours/week and a relocation/housing stipend is not provided.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program, preferably in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related fields.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for effective data management and documentation.
  • Strong data analysis skills to interpret complex information related to risks and business impacts.
  • Understanding of risk management principles and ability to apply them in creating effective continuity plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills for schedule building and project planning.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics, with a basic understanding of instrumentation and process equipment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage effectively with departmental stakeholders and ensure alignment.
  • Experience in project planning to manage and execute complex projects related to business continuity and impact analysis.

Nice To Haves

  • Some knowledge of biotech/biopharma is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for various departments by gathering and analyzing data on risks, responses, and recovery procedures.
  • Transfer and manage BCP development onto designated platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout the process.
  • Collaborate with departmental stakeholders to collect data necessary for assessing risks and developing recovery strategies.
  • Create and manage Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities to evaluate potential disruptions and formulate appropriate response plans.
  • Provide guidance and support to ensure department readiness during disruptions, utilizing data analysis and risk management techniques.
