Job Purpose and Impact The CapEx Associate Buyer, will actively contribute to the build and execution plans of Cargill's ongoing capital project strategy. In this role you will support North American sourcing for Capital Construction project activities. You will coordinate and execute low to medium complex procurement requirements to provide inputs to the category team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge or experience in the procurement industry
  • Knowledge or experience in the construction industry

Responsibilities

  • Support a team of professional procurement sourcers on the Construction/ Capital Procurement team and manage the sourcing of services for construction projects.
  • Execute medium complex requests for sourcing process.
  • Drive implementation of local sourcing decisions and support l implementation of North America sourcing decisions.
  • Negotiate low-complexity sourcing packages or contract terms.
  • Build and apply a comprehensive understanding of local, stakeholder and procurement landscape.
  • Follow established procedures to select suppliers for procurement of services.
  • Administer transactions associated with obtaining goods and services.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned
