About The Position

Seal Transportation is seeking an experienced Capacity Sales Representative to strengthen our growing carrier network for our shipping customers. This role focuses on securing reliable full truckload (FTL) dry van and refrigerated capacity through developing relationships with high-performing carriers. This full-time position is onsite with the Capacity Team. You will build strong carrier partnerships, negotiate competitive rates, and ensure we consistently meet customer shipping needs across multiple industries in a fast‑moving logistics environment. As a trusted 3rd party logistics company, we are dedicated to reliability and service in delivering tailored shipping solutions for our customers. We serve a range of customers, from local shippers to major food and beverage manufacturers around the globe.

Requirements

  • experience in logistics, freight brokerage, transportation sales, or carrier management experience with proven success in capacity sales and managing a known FTL carrier pool
  • Reliable negotiation skills with ability to secure competitive rates.
  • Clear, professional communication with carriers and internal teams.
  • Problem‑solving mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems ( McLeod preferred ), multi-screen environments and Microsoft Office tools.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple carrier relationships and shipments.
  • An associate or bachelor’s level degree, military experience, and/or successful completion of a recognized trade program.

Responsibilities

  • Build & Manage Carrier Relationships Develop and maintain a dependable portfolio of FTL dry van and reefer carriers, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Secure Reliable Capacity Source and secure capacity daily from trusted carriers to support customer freight demand.
  • Negotiate Rates & Terms Achieve competitive cost structures while meeting company margin goals and maintaining carrier loyalty.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams Communicate carrier availability and market changes with Account Management, Leadership, Sales and Operations teams to ensure seamless execution and to help position each group for success.
  • Monitor Markets & Solve Problems Stay ahead of industry capacity trends and pricing fluctuations. Proactively address delays, service issues, or disruptions.
  • Drive Efficiency & Performance Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes while meeting outbound activity expectations.
