About The Position

The Capacity Representative position reports directly to the Operations Manager while working closely with Account Managers and Sales Representatives. Capacity Representatives work in a competitive, fast -paced, and high-performance environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage load distribution from bookings to over the road (OTR) and delivery
• Examine loads following pick up and upon delivery to verify conformance to customer specifications and DOT regulations
• Oversee and manage OTR operations by tracking and tracing customer freight
• Contract dedicated carriers dependent on domestic capacity
• Ensure compliance with directives, DOT standards, and company policies
• Negotiate carrier rates based upon market averages
• Approve and issue accessorial payments
• Administer carrier contracts with dedicate lane prices, terms and conditions, and other contract modifications and settlements
• Participate in weekly team meetings to evaluate and adhere to customer needs
• Collaborate with and assist Account Managers and Sales Executives
• Participate in creating solutions to carrier “fall off”, claims and product OSD’s (overages, shortages, damages)
• Analyze carrier insurance policies to ensure they comply with AMX policies
• Work and familiarize with special operations such as transloading, dropping of trailers, power only, OSOW (oversized, overweight), and other special provisions
