About The Position

The Graduate Assistant role at Canyon Ventures involves providing professional assistance and representation for the Canyon Ventures Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Grand Canyon University. This position focuses on executing administrative duties, managing various projects, and supporting startup ventures through education and mentorship.

Requirements

• Must be a CCOB student with a major or minor in Entrepreneurial Studies.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Must be enrolled in GCU master's program in CCOB.
• Must maintain an academic GPA of 3.0.
• Must be available to work over the summer.
• Support the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.

Responsibilities

• Represent Canyon Ventures professionally to all business, venture applicants, visitors, and the like.
• Prepare the Monthly Canyon Ventures Report including various metrics related to visitors, ventures, and payroll.
• Maintain all onboarding documents including agreements, safety protocols, and background checks.
• Provide tours of Canyon Ventures and send thank you notes to visitors.
• Maintain a database of all visitors and manage incoming inquiries.
• Work on various projects assigned by faculty and staff.
• Manage the web portal and coordinate the Founders Forum Cohorts.
• Organize and coordinate Founders Forum training events and Demo Day events.
• Handle electronic filing and organization of Canyon Ventures information.
• Schedule rooms for events and meetings, including IT and AV requests.
• Coordinate and assist in planning Canyon Venture events.
• Assist with research and job placement of students.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
